DATA MANAGEMENT GUIDELINES - ENGAGEMENT WITH NATIONAL DIGITAL DEPT. (17 April 2025)

As part of the development of the Data Management Guidelines for Batu Pahat Municipal Council (MPBP) under the Johor State Smart City Blueprint 2030, SCPA conducted a formal briefing and stakeholder engagement session with the National Digital Department (Jabatan Digital Negara – JDN), Ministry of Digital, Government of Malaysia.
The session presented the Internal Data Governance Guidelines and External Open Data Guidelines, including the structured 7-step data operationalisation framework covering baseline maturity, governance, talent development, digital tools, interoperability, analytics and performance reporting.
JDN acknowledged the alignment of the guidelines with national digital and data governance directions, extended its support for the initiative, and provided minor technical comments to further strengthen the document as an operational reference for data-driven smart city implementation at local authority level.
