The Smart Cities Program Alliance (SCPA) supported Majlis Perbandaran Batu Pahat (MPBP) in the development of comprehensive Internal Data Governance Guidelines and External Open Data Guidelines under the Johor State Smart City Blueprint 2030.
The engagement with the Johor State ICT Unit of the State Secretary Office was part of the verification process and alignment with state-level digital governance priorities, ensuring structured roles, clear data stewardship mechanisms, and compliance with national data sharing policies. This initiative positions MPBP as a leading local council in operationalising data governance as a critical enabler for data-driven smart city delivery across Johor.
