The capacity building session on Introduction to Smart City Program Management for Perak Local Councils was designed to build a holistic understanding of smart city delivery by moving beyond isolated projects towards structured, system-driven implementation.
The session was officiated by the Perak State Executive Council Member for Housing and Local Government, YB Sandrea Ng Shy Ching. It reflects the state's commitment to strengthen the local councils delivery capacity for the smart city agenda.
Participants were be equipped with a practical framework to align vision, strategy and execution, assess digital readiness, identify delivery gaps, and formulate clear improvement strategies.
The session was aimed to strengthen leadership capabilities within the public sector to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives collaboratively and systematically, enabling local councils to develop impactful delivery plans, streamline implementation, and accelerate the realisation of Perak’s smart city aspirations.
